Intel core 2 quad Q8300 temp

Hello fellow geeks!

Just wanted to ask a quick question, my processor, the temps on speed fan reads the temps below:

core0 35c
core1 35c
core2 41c
core3 31c

But on BIOS it says that my CPU is 19c? I'm not worried about this but I just wanted ask if this was normal.

I prefer using coretemp, temps look ok, but 10c between core 2/3 is a bit high, normally expect upto 5c, check your heatsink is covering the chip correctly and that you have a good even thinish layer of thermal paste.

Hi, I would not worry about the temps.

it's normal that there's a difference in bios and in windows: regardless temps are fine

BTW, if you stay in bios it should go up a little after time passes

@das_stig The CPU used to belong to my Brother. He said that he used Corsair H60 to keep it cool and that the temps at idle were 35, 31, 41 31. I'm using a ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 and the paste is applied good.
