Hi peeps good to talk at you again. :)  I am wondering something....I bought a 3 stick ram kit for my dual channel asus deluxe z68 mobo I put all 3 in but someone on here smarter then me (thats not hard) said" why are you running that beast in one channel memory?" So I did as told and removed one with 2 sticks remaining in A1 B1 . Now my question is should I RMA these buggers back to tigerdirect and get something else preferably 16 gigs for the same as 12 gigs especially when I can only use 2 of them? my ram: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item... The other ram i'm looking at getting x2 :http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item... thanks for your help in advance. :)

That CPU has a dual channel memory controller which is why you want an even number of sticks. If you can still return them do so and get 8 GB. Unless you're doing some hardcore video editing or somesuch that requires 16 GB.

so I might as well keep the ones I have then and keep 1 for a spare? How do you guys/gals feel about the ram I purchased if I run it in dual channel? I'm strictly hardcore gamer I platy ARMA 2 soon ARMA 3 and if you play ARMA you know its a beast of a game. :)

you can only run 2 or 4 sticks in dual channel. run 3 sticks and you lose half of the bandwidth as it runs in single channel. Hell, it might not work at all as it isnt designed for a dual channel board.
