can a amd vedio card work with a intel i got a graphics card for my b day and it is a amd i currently have my computer torn apart and its not working so i was trying to find out if this is going to work before i get my computer up and running

Graphics card will work with both AMD and Intel CPUs. If you are having problems, post your system specs (motherboard, Power Supply, the new video card) and maybe we can help. The only general advice I can offer is to go into the BIOS and make sure you disable the integrated graphics. Under your chipset settings makes sure the primary graphics adapter is set to PCI-Express, and not to the integrated graphics.
