Hello folks

I'm having problems with my pc.

Mobo - GA-EP45t-UD3LR
Processor - Q6600 @ 2.4Ghz
4GB DDR3 Ram
GTX280 graphics

I am getting no sound from it. My mobo is ga-ep45t-ud3lr and i'm using the onboard sound s/pdif out connected to my home cinema system. I have updated the driver to the latest one. the bars on the sound control suggest that the sound is playing but no sound is coming from the speakers. A couple of times I've booted up I get sound but then lose it after a minute or so. I have scoured the internet for an answer but to no avail. I'm hoping someone can help me.

Thanks in advance

Iain

try setting the sound to digital output, 2 channel. This should eliminate an 5.1,7.1 coding problems.

Set sound to 2 channel, 44.1/48KHz output, to eliminate any potential encoding problems.

Sounds more like a speaker issue then a soundcard one, especially if windows thinks its outputting audio...make sure the SPDIF output is set as the default output device in windows as well.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the replies. I know its not the speakers as I can play dvds and hear the sound. I've already have set it to 2 channel with 44.1/48Khz output with spdif set as default.

Thanks

go into your sound card control panel and unmute wave output.
