Im looking into upgrading my Cpu and Motherboard and my case my pc that i have now,my budget is $400

CPU-AMD Athlon II X4 635
Motherboard- H-RS880-uATX (Aloe)
Memory-6GB PC3-10600
Hard drive-750GB
PSU-600w
case-Mid-size ATX

So, I take it you have an HP. I say do the following, get a new case, new motherboard + cpu cooler to overclock, and new video card. If you choose the right case you'll reuse and upgrade it for your future builds

Antec Three Hundred Black $59.45

ASRock 970 EXTREME4 $114.99

XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 $34.99

SAPPHIRE 100314-3L Radeon HD 6870 1GB $174.99

total :$384.42

I'm assuming your PSU is of decent quality. If so you can easily add another 6870 and upgrade your CPU to Bulldozer latter on. While I picked the Antec 300 for it's space you may also want to consider the XIGMATEK Asguard II since it's a great case that's priced low at $30 and is better than most $50 cases and has been used in Toms past few $500 builds. With that cheaper case you might squeeze in a more powerful GTX560 Ti or Radeon 6950 instead.

I'd want to be sure that PSU is in fact a decent one before suggesting upgrades. If so, it will have full range active PFC (no little voltage switch) and some level of 80+ certification for efficiency. If lacks these qualities, at best it is an older, inefficient design. At worst, it should be considered a 450W PSU at most, and may still not have output voltages that are clean or always within spec.
If you need to replace your PSU, you can use the Asguard II case and reduce the GPU to a HD6850 or HD6770.

-_- the CPU is o.k if you overclock it. As for the PSU I'm guessing from the feedback it gets it's pretty decent, but there are some quality control problems so it has a bit of a failure rate. Should be enough for two 5770s though so rather than getting a 6870 now, you may want to hold off and just get a 5770 to run in crossfire which would generally be a little faster

PowerColor PCS+ AX5770 1GBD5 $114.99

The money saved can go towards a better cooler, case, or motherboard. It's up to you though.
