Geeee I was looking on Ebay and the Intel X6800s are kinda cheap but then again I paid $900 a few years ago for the upgrade on this chip.

I really don't play games but I do watch Youtube videos
and only look at the web for stocks....

Just wondering will it be day and night if I buy the Bulldozer when it
comes out?
How much better will it be on my HP 27 inch monitor?......
Or will it make no sense in upgrading?.thanks all JT

Yes.

Bulldozer will make all Youtube videos look like HD video.

It will also make it seems that the stock prices are more than double what they actually are.

Can you tell I am exaggerating?

Keep your current setup unless you just want to tell people you have a Bulldozer core CPU (Zambezi).

Lol,,,,thanks I needed a smack in the head.
Years ago I would always upgrade butttt felt maybe a upgrade would be nice to have.
But maybe its just a waste on money since I don't play games..............JT

A high clocked dual core is all you need and it's what you still have, even by today's standards.

Consider the following upgrades before your CPU:
-Ram if below 4GB and running windows 7
-SSD

Considering the quality and age of your system, I think the best upgrade(s) is to get a 64GB/128GB SSD for booting to cut down boot/shutdown times - there's a bunch of other benefit that comes with the package which will take me too long to type but, it's a worth while upgrade if you have the money for it.

PS: Crucial M4 SSDs are the best~

a video card upgrade would be better but not necessary a cheap newer video card on sale might have i think better image quality ? but if everything you do runs smooth not needed

Money is not a problem thats why I was thinking of a Bulldozer.(top of line Bulldozer FX8150}
I feel my system is kinda getting old(I remember the days when I used to always upgrade for the fun of it}
I cannot see spending lots of Money for the top of the line Intel chip {$900-$1000}
I cannot complain that my system is running slow.but feel spending up to $800
in newer upgrades would be nice when the Bulldozer comes out. (FX8150 chip}.
Only game I feel would be a increase would be Flight Sim with more Frame Rates....Thanks for your time allllll..JT

+1 SSD.

That's really the only thing that is going to give you any benefit in performance for your uses.
