What should I upgrade first for gaming purposes

Hello,

Currently I have an AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE with 6 gigs of ram and 1.5tb of hdd space. I also have two nvidia gtx 460 with 768mbs per. My question is what i should invest in. I was thinking an AMD AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition because I think it's compatible with my mobo. Just to hold me through the current gen of games like BF3...Thanks all!

an x6 wont help much in games. The best thing you can do is upgrade your video card, it has been shown that any 3ghz+ quad core is plenty for BF3. The only issue i see is the 768mb vid cards, 1gb or more is probably a good idea, otherwise you may just ahve to turn down memory heavy things like Texture detail and draw distance. Just try BF3 first and see how it runs, it should run pretty good.

people are generally running the BF3 alpha very well on a single gtx570, your 2 x gtx460's are pretty similar in speed to that, maybe fall a little short, and also the 570 has more VRAM.
