I've been experiencing odd behavior from my desktop lately. And by odd, I mean I get system reboots, complete OS freeze, and BSD's. I've checked the memory dumps after the BSD and all they mention is a driver issue.
I've updated all my drivers and MB BIOS. I've run Memtest86+ a few times to check my RAM, and I've monitored my CPU voltage levels through the BIOS to make sure I had a constant voltage. All the tests I've done seem to lead me nowhere.
This problem seemed to start happening after I installed a used GPU. I want to say it's the GPU at this point because that's all that make sense me to, but I don't have definitive proof.
My PC is a homebrew and this is the current conf:
AMD Phenom II x4 965
6.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666Mhz (9-9-9-24)
ASUS M4A79XTD EVO
XFX GeForce 8600 GT 512MB
I've been thinking about getting a new GPU, but if that isn't the problem then I don't want to pool more money into buying other components.
