Hi, I'm thinking of getting my friends used Dell laptop, i can choose
from the 610, 640, or 840. I have heard that the c610 gets very hot..
Aside from that between these 3 models, which would be the best bet for
general internet surfing on high speed, wireless capabilities and word
processing? I have read some reviews on Cdnet but would like some
general input from a knowledgeable individual

I just got a C610 with wireless/DVD-burner and put debian linux on it.
IMO, it doesn't get very hot. It has 4 hour battery life which would
indicate it's not a power hog.
