Ati driver hdmi no audio

HDMI audio only works when i have my TV on before i turn on the computer. If i have the computer on before the TV, then only Video will be passed through the HDMI.

Is there a fix for this yet? Thanks!

When the computer boot up it detects the presence or absence of HDMI compliance monitor (Audio/Video). If detect none then no audio will be diverted to HDMI. To enable it you need to reboot.

Connect the HDTV before booting the computer.

...no, my Samsung UNC7000 series TV worked fine with HDMI audio even if the TV was off when the PC booted. Its more likely that when the TV is off, the default audio output device is switched from the HDMI output to the onboard sound device; you cna check this from teh Windows Control Panel.
