Okay, I want to see if anyone is able to do this. These are the rules: I want you to build an i5-2500k rig for $500-$550. I know I'm going to hear people say, it's not possible, raise the price a little, but bear with me.

The parts you do not need to worry about are case, psu, monitor, and os. This should shave off a relatively big amount of money. Think you can do it? And for the AMD fans, build an AMD build to compete with it. Think you can do it?

Usage should be thought of as gaming first, then video editing.

If you can put in 8gb of ram, go for it.

Need cpu, mobo, dvd drive, hdd, ram, and gpu.

Good luck. I will post my current build a little bit later to see if I can beat anybody.

An H61 motherboard makes owing a 2500K absolutely pointless . A chip for overclocking with a board that doesnt allow overclocking

and no case or power supply

You can build a decent gaming 2500K sandybridge comp for around 750 - 800 . Trying to do it for less is pointless

I essentially meant to build the best AMD build for the same price.
