Monitor vs televison

Can a computer monitor with an hdmi input connector be used as an hd television by connecting it to a cable box via the hdmi cable?

Yes, this should be capable as long as channel changing is done on the cablebox, not the device it is connected to. If this does not work, you could look into a separate tuner that would work, but that shouldn't be necessary. Also, why ask? Why didn't you just try? It won't hurt anything if you try it!

All HDMI works on another... TV are bigger with smaller Resolution(Big Pixels), Monitor are smaller with bigger resolution(Smaller pixel involving better Graphic)...

Thanks. It seemed logical and straightforward, but I became unsure when I couldn't find an answer by searching around the web. I didn't just try it because I don't have an HD capable set top cable box, but I will soon. And when I do I will get back on and let everyone know how it went.
