XFX 7850 will not fit on Z77A-GD65

The XFX 7850 DD will not fit on the MSI Z77A-GD65, the cooler is blocked by the sata ports on the bottom right of the MOBO. What should I do? Replace GPU? Or will all gaming GPUs have this problem due to large coolers?

i thought the top blue slot was the main 16x slot for video cards and not the bottom one from the mb guild slot e2.
the video card wont fit on the top pci slot??

Usually it's the PCI slot closes to the cpu that you use first, and is the x16 slot.

Hmm I tried re-installing the GPU, but this time with the case and mobo standing vertically, and it worked! fit in with a snap. Wonder what caused this change. Problem solved
