Enthusiast Build for gaming. I've been debating using the P87 ASUS Deluxe or the AsRock z68; and hoping this RAM would run good with the AsRock. Thoughts/opinions?

HT is not worth $100, unless you're video editing and such.

Switch the mobo and CPU for this combo

Still has Z68, solid board. You get the 2500K in and it's pretty cheap.

Switch the card and get the 560 Ti or 6950 2GB, you can OC that past the 570's performance and save $100.

Or you could get 2x6850 which kicks the 570's but.

I am going to try video rendering with epics UDK developer tool to see if it's a career path or hobby I would like to persue. In that case the i7 seems more ideal. 2 reasons why I want to go with the 570 is that radeon is going to stop manufacturing? and I would like to have the continued support. Also I am going to want to run this card for some time so I'm wary of OC'ing to much. Ah my head is going to explode I've been researching charts and comparing this past week now

I just got a Microcenter add in the mail and there is a bundle combo for the Asus p8P67 and i5-s500k for $329.99. That would save me about $200. Can I SLI the p8p67? Would there be a big difference rendering and gaming with this rather than my original post?

What are you talking about Radeon is going to stop manufacturing? The 6950 2GB is one of AMD's top cards. They won't stop manufacturing them... They still manufactuer the 5870 and 5770 which is a generation behind current. I will tell you right now the 570 is going to run pretty hot. Which is why I don't recommend it. Also OCing doesn't even degrade life that much. My 955 I bought 2 years ago has been running 24/7 3.6ghz and at one point was running 3.9/4.0ghz all day long and is still good to go.

The P8P67 is overpriced and as pretty crappy features for the price. Go with this.

It'll have that $40 off deal @ Microcenter when you go in. If bought with a 2600K you'll have the discount.

Not that they're stopping manufacturing but that this line will be the last they create. It was a forum and I do not recall which. If you have not heard of such it's probally not true. If that is not true I'm going to check out the atis

I think you are referring to the name ATI, ATI the brand has been out for almost a year now. AMD has just taken the name off. They left the name "ATI" for 4 years after their purchase, just recently AMD has finally taken off ATI and just put it as AMD Radeon.

AMD would never stop manufacturing GPUs when they have quite a bit of market space vs Nvidia. Plus it's most of AMDs profit since they're currently losing with the current CPUs.
