My GPU is 63C at idleing

Forum Graphics & Displays : Graphics Cards My GPU is 63C at idleing

Word :    Username :

Here Are my Specs:
Manufacturer: Apple [MacBook Pro 15[2010]]
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU M 620 @ 2.67GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512MB
Monitor: 15" LCD Screen
Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

I don't know if MPB even have fans, but this is extremly hot. And would explain why whenever I play a intense game for too long my monitor shuts off. 63C with only google chrome open? Seems too hot.

Yes, that is definitely too hot for idle, even for a laptop. I suggest that you check that all your air intakes are clear of dust, and to use canned compressed air to blow out any dust that has built up in the computer.

I am litterally resorting to using ice packs under my laptop to stop it from over heating. I don't know if you've seen a MBP but these laptops only have two places where air/dust can get it. The mini holes from the speakers and the tiny cd slit. I've never had this problem this frequently until now.

Edit the MBP's with bootcamp do not come pre-installed with the necessary drivers for the fan.... That seems just reckless. I put both fans on 6000 RPM and now my gpu is idling at 45C

I should say that is the only difference.
