First off, forgive me for being dense but I have absolutely no idea how to tell if a Power supply is compatible with a certain motherboard. For example: the Mobo I currently have is an Asus P5KPL-CM Intel LGA 775 G31 (I know, old.) I am looking at either the Corsair TX750w or 850w PSU. Would these be compatible with my current mobo? Also, In the next month or two I'm upgrading to a GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+ AMD 970 and a Phenom 1090t x6. will the PSU be compatible with these when i upgrade?

Best solution

Yes in both cases! For a system with a single GPU you do not need that big a PSU the TX650 would even be overkill.
