Need help with this dilema

Ok so i currently have a rig with the following specs:

CPU: Athlon II x4 640 3.0 GHZ quad core
GPU: Geforce GTS 450
RAM: DDR3 1333 4 gigs
HDD: western digital 500 gig 7200 rpm


I recently bought a Intel Core i7 2600k cpu because i got it for a crazy price ($125). Now i am stuck with a decision. Do you guys recommend me stay with my current AMD build, sell the core i7 2600k and wait for the ivy bridge or build a new rig out of the core i7 2600k and try to sell the Athlon?

Do you feel you need the upgrade? If so, i7 and destroy.
