I just built a machine and have a EVGA GeForce GTX 460 SSC+ 1GB vid card installed. Im just about ready for the first boot, but i dont have any DVI cables, and the display i plan on using for this pc is a SONY Bravia EX-400 so the HDMI connection is preferrable. The thing is, from my experience, sometimes the bios doesnt show over an hdmi connection.. whether or not thats because of a display resolution incompatability or because the OS must boot first on those particular machines before the HDMI signal is broadcasted.. im not sure, but i dont want to boot it up blindly with no signal coming through to the tv, and have to cold boot it during some prompt for me to start formatting/installing the OS.
any experiences settings up a computer through an HDMI port?
