i,m thinking of upgradeing my 8800gt to a gigabyte gtx 560 ti oc 900 cpu core clock

i was thinking about going for a 6950 2 gig

both cards have the advantages as ive read and disadvantages, but thinking of the 560 ti oc, cos it sounds generaly, faster clockwise out of the box without haveing to mess about overclocking it yourself

i,d just like to know if my system would run it ok and if the cpu/ram/os might bottleneck it

q9300 at stock 2.5
asus p5n-d 750i sli (will only be useing one slot one card for now anyhow)
antec neopower 650 watt three rails 19A each rail 3 x 19
4 gid ocz reaper x hpc ddr2 800 mhz
160 / 250 / 500 gb sata hdd,s
ageing 8800 gt 512mb inno 3d
windows 7 proffesional 32 bit
antec 900 case / 4 fans
dvd-rw 20x

thanks in advance for any information

Even though it's kind of late, you could just add another 8800GT. Well, if you were going to upgrade to a single card I would say a GTX 560 so you can use the 8800GT as the PhysX card. You may as well, unless you have other plans for the 8800GT in which case I would say get the 6950 instead.

DON'T Get Gigabyte, they have very high failure rates compared to other brands and are almost as bad as Palit. Go stock at the very least and nuke on your own or at least EVGA or Zotac amp. MSI does make some good cards but their fans are brittle and have no cooling for the vram and power vrm.
