Wireless wouter not connecting

Hello,
my wireless router says its connecting to my modem but it turns it its not when i try connecti8ng something it flashing like its trying to connect again but when i have my laptop connect to the modem it works, can anyone help me?

your router has the wireless access open or is encrypted ?
