How much ram do i need for gaming with windows 7 64 bit

Hello,
I have a gaming system with Windows 64 bit. currently have 8GBs of ram and a Radeon 6870 1GBs of ram on the card. On some games i see a little latency issues would adding 8 more Gbs of ram do anything to fix it???

8GB of RAM is plenty. You don't need more and unless you're running several resource hungry background processes that is not the cause of your latency. Describe the problem a little more. Also, what game are you experiencing this in. What programs are running while you are gaming?
