A stupid question to ask. CPU COOLING

Hello, i just bought a new case and it has an option for a 120mm fan behind the motherboard for additional cooling. I'm going to do some extreme overclocking and seeing as case fans are cheap i bought another one. My question is do i want it to blow air onto the back of the cpu or away from it? Any input is greatly appreciated

Away.As most hot air rises the air should be ventilated by the back part of the case.In more of a sense that the hot air should go our through the back top part of the case.
