Final system review

These are the final specs i was planning on using for the computer i was building. If anyone could do a rough once over, just checking if everything works and fits together, it'd be a lifesaver.

-Corsair CWCH50-1 Hydro H50 CPU Liquid Cooler - 120mm Fan, Copper Cold Plate, Aluminum Radiator, LGA775, LGA1366, LGA1156, AM2/AM3

-NZXT M59-001BK M59 Gaming Mid Tower Case - ATX, mATX, Baby AT, Black (LxWxH): 20.0" x 7.48" x 17.7"

-GIGABYTE GA-870A-USB3 AMD 870 Motherboard - ATX, Socket AM3, AMD 870 Chipset, DDR3 2000MHz (O.C.), SATA 6.0 Gb/s, RAID, Gigabit LAN, SuperSeed USB 3.0

-XFX P1550SXXB9 Core Edition Power Supply - 550W, 80 Plus Bronze, 135mm Fan, Active PFC, Single +12V Rail

-Sapphire 100312-1GSR Radeon HD 6950 Video Card - 1GB, GDDR5, PCI-Express 2.1 (x16), Dual DVI, HDMI, 2x Mini Display Port, DirectX 11, Dual-Slot

-Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 Hard Drive - 1TB, 7200RPM, 32MB, SATA-3G

-Corsair CMX4GX3M1A1333C9 XMS3 4GB DDR3 RAM - PC10666, 1333MHz, 4096MB (x2) = 8gb, and yes i know it's overkill, but it's very cheap, so why not?

-Asus DRW-24B1ST 24X Internal DVD Burner - DVD±R 24X, DVD+RW 8X, DVD-RW 6X, DVD±R (DL) 12X, DVD-RAM 12X, CD-R 48X, CD-RW 32X, SATA, 2MB, Black, OEM

-AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition AM3 CPU HDZ965FBGMBOX - 3.40GHz, Socket AM3, 6MB Cache, 2000MHz (4000 MT/s) FSB, Retail, Processor with Fan

-Kingston SV100S2D SSDNow V100 Solid State Drive - 64GB, SATA, 2.5", Upgrade Kit
Was planning on putting WoW on the SSD; maybe the OS too. Only other reason is because when i last checked, there was a 55$ rebate, putting the price tag at 69$, a steal imo.

The only thing i am slightly worried about is, 1) if the Case is big enough for everything, and 2) the PSU wattage can handle everything included.

As mentioned before, any tips/advice would be very appreciated as i would rather fix them now then find the problem when i attempt the assembly.

  1. +1^ nice solid AMD build.

the psu (good choice for the $) will be fine as long as you don't intent to CF later, then get a 650-750w one.

The M59 case is a good one. you should be fine. I have seen much more inside one than what your are putting. check out the forum here:

my only suggestion would be the MB. I would go with a AM3+ for BullDozer and hopes of upgrading.

AM3+ single PCIe x16 slot same price
    CF AM3+ MB same Price
    Better CF AM3+ MB +$65
  2. ^+1 but regardless of you intentions on CF, you might upgrade the power supply. Especially if you make the jump to an am3+ board. That way when bulldozer does finally arrive you might be able to add an extra 6950 or switch up to something else entirely and not be boot strapped into spending another 50$ plus when you could have just added another 25$ to the one your buying now.
  3. Good suggestions.

The 965 will never keep up with TWO 6950's, so the cpu upgrade option of AM3+ makes sense. But like Jerred said you will need a bigger psu for that option.

If you don't plan to xfire, then stay with the parts you currently chose.
