Issues with RAM upgrade in an e-machine

I have an older e-machine that is running the K7mnF-64 motherboard. I tried to up grace the memory. I purchased 2G of ram the 184 pin 333MHz ddr 2700, but when i changed it out the machine won't boot. I even replaced the old memory and it still refuses to boot, what did i do wrong? Help Please,

1. The manual will state the max RAM along with the frequency that the slots in the motherboard will handle.

2. When you re-installed the old RAM, make sure that the RAM modules are well seated - latches engaged (you will hear a click).
