Rammemory upgrade for a emachine

I change out the ram in an older machine the motherboard is a K7mnF-64 according to the spec. there should be no problem with the 184 pit 333mhz 2700 ddr ram i up graded to, but it will not boot. I replaced the old RAM and it still will not boot. could there be something wrong with the motherboard? or is is something stupi that i did?

Try this.

Reset the CMOS memory the right way as is described in the motherboard manual using the clear CMOS link with the power cord unplugged.
And when the battery is out, press the power button to discharge all the electricity from the system.

No joy. the motherboard has the jumper, i moved the jumper as per the instructions and i am still getting nothing. I think the motherbosrd is gone is there any way to check it without buying another MB to replace it?
