Going from e5800 to q9450?

Will this increase my processing power? I won't be able to overclock. I was wondering going from a 3.2 to a 2.6 will end up decreasing my processing power for applications that are specifically programed to utilize all four cores. Thank you for your help. I am new to this and don't know much about cpus.

Yeah it will increase power consumption but not too much. and speed system, I think ... if you have a good psu does not need to replace, because the psu is often used by the graphics more than 50%, while the rest is for other.
