Thanks for the article grody.

About the hard drive I was thinking of buying a SATA3 to use in the future what do you think? does not pay?

@manu 11
the harddrive you suggested is Sata 2 vs the harddrive he's chosen which is Sata 3.
So it really depends on the usage he's gonna give the harddrive.

but i dont see him having to access tons of little files, so i guess the sata3 would be preferable over Sata 2, even if the samsung access times are a bit better.

EDIT: Samsung does seem to have much higher Buffer To Disk Rate 250 vs 126 from WD.
Yeah i guess the samsung would be better.

I was always told that SATA3 on any mechanical drive was irrelevant as SATA2 has more bandwidth than they can use.

He could also consider getting a FirePro card as well. I wanted him to be aware of his video card choice given his build usage (3D Studio Max).

Firepro for gaming? Forget about this. And as somebody with years of experience /professional, including "production environment"/ with 3ds max I may say - it's working well with regular multypurpose graphics cards.

firepro is good for 3d studio max but its not really ment for gaming.
