Front Panel Connector Issues

Hi there new to the community, I bought a new case and noticed it had a 8 pin front panel connector all seperate (I.e. HD Led, Power etc). My current motherboard supports up to 9 pins, I was wondering if it is compatible as there would be one piece of lead left.

The Case has the panel connectors seperate and only use 8 of the leads. Will this work?

Yes, but you'll have to determine how to connect the front panel connector.
