Hi
What would you guys recommend as a good ZOOM lens for great pics for a
300D rebel? The one that comes with the kit comes short for zooming
an object seveal feet away. Anyone selling one too?

Zoom is a pretty meaningless term used by itself. Saying a lens has
zoom means it has a variable focal length and nothing else.
Do you want a wide angle zoom, a midrange zoom or a telephoto zoom ?
If you're "zooming objects several feet away", I'd imagine you
want a midrange zoom. The EF 28-105 or the EF 28-135IS would be
good cantidates.

Check out the EF 80-200mm II. It is only about $100 (US). Canon's own MTF
chart (a resolution chart for all practical purposes) scores it much higher
than the 75-300mm zoom, but without the same reach. I'd consider the
75-300mm a fair lens (I had 3 of them including 1 IS version) and the 80-200
II a good lens. The much more costly 70-200mm f/4 is very good, but much
more costly.
