Hello there,

i made my mind and i will be upgrading my X-FI XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Pro for a Asus Xonar D1. (Ty gamerk316)

Now the other thing i want to upgrade is my Sound system. I have a 4 years old (i guess) logitech X-530 (their front speakers are doing strage noises sometimes) and i want to upgrade for a 2.1 sound system.

Here goes the important information:

- I'll be using it in a small bedroom.
- I'll watch movies using it (my pc is connected to my TV)
- I need to plug my PS3 in it as well.
- I'm a big fan of Heavy Metal , But i also enjoy other types of music.

Now with "all my needs" exposed i ask you for advice.

Well, if you also want to connect to a PS3, something that has BOTH a analog and digital connection would help, as you could have both plugged in at the same time. [Logitech Z-5500's are a good 5.1 example of speakers with both connection types.]

Speakers aren't my strongest suit though...

I'm thinking about a Logitech Z523... after some research on the local stores, i guess its the better deal.

Does anyone have one ?

@gamerk316

Do the Xonar D1 would make a big difference with those speakers ?

No, I don't think a sound card of any kind will make much of a difference.

You would need something like some Cerwin Vega D9s to push that sound card.
