Extra wireless router question

Hi - Currently I use a wired router for my two computers in my office. However, I just received a wireless router and I picked up an extra computer thats a few years old. I was thinking of placing that computer in the basement. Can I do anything with this router for this computer to hook it up to the internet? I do have a cable downstairs from the cable company,

well you could switch out the two routers, configure the wireless, and add a wireless network card into the computer in the basement.
