I gave my vote to farcry, although HL2 is a very close second. I don't at all see it as a novelty like Wolfy said. The game looks beautiful, puzzles are easy but fun to solve, and it runs awesome on my modest system at 1280x1024 High. Unlike D3, I honestly can't see the negative remarks people make toward HL2, unless they also didn't care for HL either and would rather just run circles holding a trigger than have to think through a game. I see them as hard to amuse people, whereas I just enjoy gaming with the little time I have for it, so i am a fairly easliy amused gamer and forgiving of small faults.

I was very surprised at how long the expanison pack United Offensive was for COD. For an expansion pack it was long as hell. I thought i would never get to the end.

Well, its been a long time since i played COD and cant really remember the campaign but COD UO is well worth it. There is alot to it and like i said, just when i thought i was at the end, there was more. Im sure you wont be disappointed.

For me it was a hard choice between HL2 and farcry as well, but in the end HL2 won out because of the functional use of physics (love the physics "puzzles" in HL2) and the storyline (I'm still playing, so I havent see the ending yet which some people find rather lame). The AI in FarCry is much better, and the feeling of player freedom is really great in FarCry but I was rather annoyed at the game saving strategy in the game, and I do not care too much for the storyline. I haven't downloaded the latest FC patch yet, so maybe they fixed/changed that. I think I would have chosen FC if it had had less monsters and more jungle/tactical objectives in the single player.

With the exception of Return to Castle Wolfenstein and HL2, I couldn't stand the other games.....then again I aint been playing many games lately as it is.
Sorry for not replying earlier, school's been on and off crazy. Things are good so far *knock on wood*, school is going well and in a month I find out the results of 4 years of work from Intel Science Talent Search. In the meanwhile, I got deferred from MIT for early action, guess they had too many physics/ comp science people applying (SAT's do really mean nothing).
On the computer nerdiness side....can't admit that I'm spending that much time with comps any more, more interested in chasing tail heh. I still build comps tho...for a price. How's everything with you?
Obviously at medium or so. The game seems to not even include Medium that often and settled with either Low or High. I got some on High, others not. And of course, DX9 isn't there so that's less effects there too.
the sequel kinda blew becuz they took the multi out of it.
but the first one kicked ass.
Yeah, played that for a while. Never finished the SP (I seldomly do, it seems) but I really enjoyed the MP because of the deformable maps (destroying walls etc).

for the 2 that have voted for HL2 come back and vote again when the novelty of picking up a barrel wears off
Funny you said that. For me, after finishing HL2 now, I would now cast my vote for HL2 over Farcry. Still very close between the two though, so i am not too bothered by my Farcry vote.
Having not finished both games, I can't give a fair vote to anything. But I'll say Metroid Prime probably is in my top 3. Deus Ex likely too.

There's like 15 used Doom III's at my local game shop...but your'e lucky if you see 1 or 2 Far Cry's, COD or MOHAA Pacific...which wasn't in the poll either...

If you still have Half Life 2, then you can get the best FPS game FREE!-It's actually a mod by one of the very best. My friend from, Holland Leon Brinkman is the author. This mod is very long and pure action from start to finish and if you have never played it, then do yourself a big favor and download it now and then after your done, go back to the same site, which is the very best site for anything having to do with the Half Life universe. Leon and his crew just released the partial demo of his brand new mod thats been years in the making. Called Strider Mountain, it will be huge when done, which will be any time now. In the meantime you can play his first big one.C to A . I would suggest playing it on easy the first time as the manhacks are tough to beat.
A few other games for the top 10 are IMO, one I just finished and loved! Call Of Juarez is great!! Lots of great fighting and mountain climbing etc. Plenty action.
Then there's another one that got little attention in the world of all night is all right for fighting the AIs'! I love the name of this one. It sounds alot like dog food to me-Alpha Prime! Dosen't it sound like alpo or Prime Choice or some kind of dog chow? Anyway-this one has great graphics and nice looking chicks but the story sucks. But who cares if ya got the other 2 right? In this one, you may need to cheat and add more weapons to win. Add more ammo and a rocket launcher as your always outnumbered and they NEVER MISS!-So look up the cheat code OR you can just play in the easy mod and still you will keep getting killed alot. WTF? Why are the bad guys becoming such super shooters all of a sudden?
To download and play every Half Life 1 and 2 mod ever made (and theres a bunch!) go to Planet Phillip-Here's a link to it and for the mod Coastline To Atmosphere-You can read the players reviews and after you play it write one! Good luck!
fyi I'm not on fecking facebook either. Nor tweetie twot, or the other one
