Which is most likely to be dead my new CPU or new MOBO?

I have just upgraded my motherboard and CPU, everything turns on, lights, fans, usb. However, zero feedback to my monitor not even a flicker.

Everything else is working, plugged in yadda-yadda-yadda. (Ram tested in each slot)

So which is most likely a DOA? Gonna RMA so just wondering which sounds like the culprit here.. or I could just RMA both. Just want some opinions here.

More about which dead mobo
  1. I have never heard of anyone getting a bad cpu, but I have heard of them receiving doa motherboards. Since it all turns on, but without display, I think they are both good.
How about more info. What board, what cpu..basically your whole computer specs
  2. Try re-seating your RAM. I was working on my PC once and took the RAM out, when I booted the computer (with all the RAM in) I didn't get any display at all. Just took it out, wiped it, and put it back in and it worked fine.
  3. Specs:
    New stuff:
    AsRock 970 Extreme 3
    8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600
    Phenom II 965BE

    Old stuff:
    Corsair GS700 power supply
    Nvidia 9800GT
    1TB WD HDD

I've put the RAM in multiple times in all spots, especially in the slot recommended by the mobo for first time boot.
