What can I do to make it run a bit faster?

Hey guys I'm new here. I have this Dell XPS Studio about two years old. It has 4gb, Core 2 Duo, 2GB 9500SLi.

Yet when I try to run WoW it only manages to run on 30fps on low settings, like the lowest you can go with no multisampling and with the Resolution at 1280 x 720 (i think). What can I do to make it run a bit faster? It seems like it should be able to handle the stress.

  1. Which core 2 duo? There are many, many different ones. If its not too powerful, maybe it bottlenecks?

Also, have you enabled sli in wow? http://www.wowblues.com/us/sli-support-for-wow-5103879232.html

Note: I actually don't play wow...
  2. WoW is CPU based. If you want to see a good increase in your WoW performance you need to overclock that cpu. The problem is you bought a Dell. I believe they lock the bios to prevent you from overclocking on certain motherboards.
  3. It's the Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 @2.00 GHz (2CPUs) ~2.0 GHz

    GPU: GeForce 9500M (GF 9200MGS + GF 9400MG)

    Name: NVIDIA GeForce 9200M GS
