I heard somewhere that all modern motherboards have Wifi built in, but I'm not sure if that is true. Basically, I am wondering if the ASUS P8Z77-V LK will let you connect to Wifi networks to use the Internet. I don't have Ethernet cables on the upper floor of my house, where the computer will be.

Thanks,

If it doesn't, is there a device that would allow you to? I know there are USB ones, but are there like PCI-e cards or something?

The P8Z77-V LK does not have an onboard WiFi.
These are the boards that have it;
P8Z77-V DELUXE
P8Z77-V PRO
P8Z77-V
P8Z77 WS

The wireless antenna on the rear panel replaces the WiFi card, You just have to install the WiFi drivers to make it work.

You could get a wireless card.

Thanks. Those motherboards are kinda pricey for my purposes. I'll probably get the Wifi card.
