I'm new to this forum, and I would greatly appreciate anyone's help.
My HDMI cord does not work with my PC. I have this monitor:

When I have the HDMI cord plugged into the video card's slot on the PC, the screen still says "No signal", and then goes into standby mode. I have an Nvidia 560 ti.
I don't know if I am missing something blatantly obvious, or what? This is my first time using an HDMI cord for PC. Is there some sort of process I need to go through before using HDMI? I am using DVI for the time being. Both the DVI and VGA work correctly, it is only the HDMI.
