Rate my build

Hello just ordered some parts from newegg for my new build. I use it to play old games that dont require an expensive vid card. Tell me what you think

If you really are getting 16gb of RAM in my opinion that's unnecessary. If you're playing old games, you would only need 4gb at most, even for newer games too. Then with the money you saved you could get a better GPU like a Radeon 6850.

Also, an i5-2500k isn't needed for old games, you could get an i3-2100 for ~$100 cheaper and still play new games on decent settings (max @1050) paired with the 6850.

A $500 rig is really all you need to play older games, but I guess I never asked what older games you're playing. Just my two cents, i'm sure others will pop in with additional comments.

I can't enlarge the picture so I have no idea what you're looking at purchasing :/

16GB RAM is definitely overkill, and I agree with Mr. Casual that the money is better spent on a better GPU or other components.
