Hi everyone,

I was hoping for a little advice on upgrading my RAM. I've got a Foxconn 761MX motherboard running Windows XP. The 761 has two slots for DDR2 chips. I've read that the 761 can only support 2GB of RAM, but that XP can support between 3-3.5GB. If I install 2x 2GB DDR2 chips, will this give me the best possible RAM performance? Or is there no point adding in over 2GB as this is all the mobo supports?

Thanks for your help.

Since the Foxconn 761MX only supports 2GB of memory, install 2 x 1GB modules. 2GB modules most likely won't work or they'll be detected as 1GB modules (a waste of money).
