Asus P8Z77-V Premium Apple Thunderbolt Compatibility

I am building a computer for someone and am wondering if the Apple Thunderbolt Display will be able to hook up to the P8Z77-V Premium, be compatible with drivers and all of the components you might have in a normal build, and be able to fully utilize a graphics card when connected to the motherboard thunderbolt port instead of a DVI or HDMI on the graphics card itself. Thanks in advance!

  1. Thunderbolt is an Apple/Intel 'thing' and a long as you're using the 'video' version of the cable then it should work fine.

So you are saying it will work with regular PC hard drives, graphics cards, RAM, etc.?
