Cheap Best Gaming Motherboard and Cpu. No Overclocking.

So as in the thread, I am looking for a pretty cheap motherboard, and a CPU. I have no idea which would be better for my use, an amd board and CPU, or a cheap intel board and an i5-2500 CPU. I am not going to be overclocking, but I would like to do some decent gaming like Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, and hopefully Guild Wars 2 coming up. If you could give me some info on the ups and downs of the amd and intel side of things, that would be grand. Thanks a bunch.

For intel right now im looking at a P8Z68-V Pro, with an i5-2500. Not sure if it would be cheaper for me because im not overclocking to look towards the AMD side of things

I disagree with Iyger. I think you should go for a Z77 board. It's the current chipset, and provides an upgrade path.

Here's a great MB with all the bells and whistles, that's right in the middle of the pack pricewise.
