Can't connect 2nd computer to home wifi network

Hi,
At a friend's house and can't connect to the wifi network using my laptop. The router is recognized but for some reason the it cannot connect to the network. My computer recognizes the router but cannot the internet. Right now I am hard wired to router via Ethernet cable and can connect fine.
