Sli a gtx 590 and 580 together

I have a w/c'd gtx 580 in my computer atm, i bought a gtx 590 w/c'd also Please tell me they can sli together lol there both 580s right if not where should i sell my super clocked evga lifetime transferable w/c'd gtx 580

Regardless of motherboard I would be wary of trying to SLi a GTX580 with a GTX590, I don't think it will work and even if it did I think there would be issues but as they are using the same GPU's in theory it should work.

Nvidia cards are totally different with ATI ones (in terms of SLI/CF)
There are only few Nvidia cards that work in SLI even if they aren't the same(such as 9800GTX and GTS 250);whereas,numerous ATI cards(especially the models from the same family) work fine in CF mode.

Like I said, in theory it should work as the GPU's are the same but I have my doubts that it would all go swimmingly.
