Hi Guys!

I have simple request. I need to buy a new desktop PC for AVCHD video editing. I will be using the CANON HF G10 to shoot and will be editing 1 - 30 min videos for uploading on the web. Some effects but not heavy. I put all my $ into the Camera equipment so my budge is tight at the moment. I will most likely be using Sony Vegas 9 or 10.

Below is the link to the configuration I would like to purchase:

1) Please let me know if it will do the job without stuttering.
2) If not, can you please suggest a configuration that will work for me?

Thanks!
mm

Thank you so much Mcnumpty. I had no idea! :p lol

Okay so I cut and paste the specs:

HP s5xt series - $829.00

Operating system Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium [64-bit]

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2500S quad-core processor [2.7GHz, 6MB cache]

Memory 6GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [2 DIMMs] from 4GB

Hard drive 1.5TB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive

Security software SAVE $20 on Norton Internet Security(TM) 2011

Graphics card 1GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT520 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]

i am in the uk so not familiar with us prices but that seems a bit expensive and its not a

great graphics card--you can get software that leverages your graphics card to speed up

video conversion--i would have thought maybe a gtx550 or 560 would be better

does it have to be a hp?

i would have a look here
