Hello, I need to buy a new motherboard for my E8400 processor and a MSI G41M-P25 seems like a good/cheap option. However, I have some problems when it comes at choosing memory. As there is almost no price difference between DDR3 1066<->1600 I was thinking of getting the Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2X4GB) 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 kit to have some decent memory if I decide to move to Ivy Bridge in the near future.

Do you think this memory would run on this board? I know that if it will work it would be at 1333 Mhz but I don't want to learn it the hard way that it might not work at all.

Many Thanks,
Alexandru

Welcome to Tom's Forum! :)

While your E8400/G41 won't support DDR3-1600 the CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 offers speeds down to DDR3-800 so it should work.
