I'm building a new system from scratch, and really want a fan controller. Ideally, it'll be mounted in a spare 3.5" slot (or even two), will read and display temps and fan RPMs accurately, as well as allowing me to adjust fan speeds as needed. I don't want/need one with a built-in card-reader/clock/etc....just a quality fan control unit.
I've searched a half-dozen computer sites and read the reviews, and every single controller I've found has more bad reviews than good. From what I can tell, nobody seems to make a sturdy unit with quality components and is accurate. I don't mind paying more than the $30-$50 the cheap-o's are going for if it'll work, has all the parts and will last....but where do I find such a beast?
