I currently own a core i7 930 quad core system with 4gig of DDR3 ram with a 1gig DDR5 Ram XFX Radeon 5770 card and I want to crossfire my card and I was wondering the following.

Can a xfx radeon 5770 and a xfx radeon 5830 be crossfire together?
How about a xfx radeon 5770 and a xfx radeon 5770 XXX edition?

I guess I want to know more about the 5770 and 5770 XXX edition mix.

I think you can do the 5770 and 5830, but it's not practical.

Now, concerning the 5770 CF setup, it doesnt matter what brand, or what version (XXX or OC editon or voltage tweak) or even how much memory either card has, if they are both 5770's they should crossfire just fine.

You cannot crossfire between families, the 5770 can CF with the 5770 or the 5750, the 5830 can CF with 5830s, 5850s, 5870s, or 5970s, but cannot CF with 5770s.
