Hi.
Im planning on building my first desktop PC. I have lurked on the forum for some weeks now and think i have found a good part setup.
I will be following a guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsQNIP7cTYA&feature=iv&a...
This PC will mainly be used for gaming and light video editing.

(From norwegian netshops)
the parts are as following
Cm 690 ii adv. 549.-
Asus sabertooth p67 1317.-
Intel i5 2500k 1499.-

Western digital 1tb hard drive 7200 32mb 439.- x2
Corsair tx 650watt 699.-
Asus gtx 560ti 1gb 1600.-
Sony Optiarc DVD±RW Burner, AD-7260S 154.-
Windows 7 64 norsk home premium 763.-

Total: 8008.- (1439 usd)(everything is more expensive in norway)

Alt.
I have seen alot of videos showing of the speed of ssd and made a sd build too

Western digital 1tb hard drive 7200 32mb x1
Osc agility 3 120gb 1590.-
New total: 9159.-(1646 usd)

i wish to hear others meaning on this build and what they may recomend

remember that if you think these prices are very high thats because i live in Norway where games cost 120 usd new. eveything is expencive.
i used this site for finding parts: http://prisguide.hardware.no/ this site finds the best deals in norway from trusted netshops.

I look forward to hear your meanings and or recomendations.

(sorry for gramatical errors)

Don't buy a Sabertooth. That giant "heatspreader" Asus installed on them doesn't do anything but trap heat on the board. You should invest in a Z68 motherboard anyways so ditch the Sabertooth. If you want to get into OCing you should get rid of the Vengeance RAM unless you know the heatsink your going to buy won't interfere with the RAM.

This might be a silly question but since the dollar has been so devalued in the last year, would it be economically feasible to buy parts in the USA and have them shipped to Norway?

I have built two pc's this year, (the first two I ever built), and they are both Z68 motherboards. I am very glad I have them. By the time I built the 2nd unit the price had come down quite a bit and it had a lot more features than the first build. I highly recommend the Z68. They fired right up when I hit the power and never had any problems. I run them loaded up all day with trading programs. Best of fortune in your build!
