i have a cooling problem
My system is:
Case: ASUS TM-B11 Black ATX Midi PC Case
Phenom X4 980
500gb sata HDD
Geforce 9800 GTX+
8 Gb DDR 1333
Corsair ax850 psu

i have an 80mm fan on the side of the case directly on top of the cpu.(one that came with the case), acording to the bios health check gets up to 2200 RPM
i have a sickle coolermaster 120mm 2000 RPM fan that is drawing the hot air out the case.
The cpu heatsink is the original stock 1 and in bios health registeres 3,400! rpm

PROBLEM
The cpu temp warning comes on only when i play games

i have it set to go off at 60C
all the warning fail fans are enabled

WHAT CAN I DO?

Ok you're right.
Dropping a few more pounds on a case with airflow would go along way.
Antec 300,CM HAF 912+.
You have decent gear.
Seriously a Corsair AX850 in a cheapo case for a 9800GTX.
I don't want to be rude but wtf!
Find a new case and a cheap cooler like a 212+ or Zalman Performa.
Your temps will drop right off.

Your side fan may be causing tubulence and hurting the case air flow. The 980 should not run above 62C with the OE HSF, even with gaming if you have good case air flow. You should try disabling the side fan and see if the CPU temp improves. If you plan to OC then a better HSF such as the Hyper 212+ is an inexpensive but significant improvement over the OE HSF.

I'd also suggest using Core Temp for accurate temps.
