Which is best Graphics card for my budget?

i have a mercury Pi945GCM motherboard (it has a PCIEX1 slot)
450w power supply,
intel Core2Duo E4500 @ 2.2 Ghz

i am fed of the onboard graphics, and want to buy a Graphics card .

please suggest me a good graphics card which costs less than 100 USD and will run silent .

Your motherboard does not actually have a PCI-E x1 slot. It has a PCI-E x16 slot and two PCI slots. This is a good thing as most video cards are PCI-E x16.
What will the card be used for? Is it for general use and video or will you be gaming? If so then what resolution?

i am going to use it for light gaming at 1280x1024 , little AA and mid-high details and texture

A gts 450 or a 5670. I suggest that you go for a cheap 5750 or 5770 and never look back. They will run on your psu but it will be pushing it knowing that what most people is cheaper than a ordered out pizza and very poor quality.

brand is supercomp... a local one i guess...

i dont know much about PSUs , so I will check it out, and then tell you guys info as you ask for it
