ATI Radeon HD 3850 AGP and Windows 7 drivers

I have a HIS HD 2600XT IceQ Turbo AGP graphics card which runs off an ATI Radeon HD 3850 chipset.

I had a hell of a time getting it to work with Windows 7. HIS's Vista drivers don't work. ATI's Windows 7 drivers don't work either. I finally got it to work using an ATI XP Driver. Some features don't work though. Aero is disabled, and when I play DVDs there is some video corruption on menus and during scene changes.

Funnily I have another computer running my old graphics card, and ATI x1600 and it works great.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my graphics card fully functional? I haven't even tried running computer games yet.

Yes, I've tried several versions of the catalyst drivers, and two hot fixes. I also contacted HIS technical support, which basically said to do just that and if it doesn't work, buy a new video card (which I can't without replacing motherboard and processor and memory)

ATI released a new set of drivers on 5/9 and miracle of miracles they work. Partially. Still don't get Areo features for some reason. But who cares, I have signed drivers working.
